Fellow Liberians, esteemed members of the diaspora, and friends of Liberia,

On behalf of the Liberian Community in Rwanda, we stand in full support of Liberia’s bid for a Non-Permanent Seat on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for the term 2026-2027.
This historic opportunity is evidence of Liberia’s growing role in promoting global peace, security, and multilateral cooperation. Having emerged from years of civil conflict to become a beacon of democracy and stability in West Africa, Liberia is well-positioned to contribute meaningfully to the Security Council’s critical mandate.
Liberia’s presence on the UNSC will:
✔ Amplify Africa’s Voice – Ensuring that African perspectives on peace, security, and development are strongly represented.
✔ Strengthen Liberia’s Global Standing – Elevating our nation’s diplomatic influence and fostering international partnerships.
✔ Advocate for Peace & Justice – Drawing from our own post-war experiences to support conflict resolution worldwide.
As proud Liberians in Rwanda and across the globe, we must rally behind our motherland in this crucial endeavour. Here’s how we can contribute:
● Raise Awareness – Use social media, community forums, and engagements to highlight Liberia’s qualifications and vision for the UNSC
● Engage Local & International Stakeholders – Advocate with host governments, organizations, and partners to endorse Liberia’s bid.
● Unite in Support – Let us demonstrate the strength of the Liberian diaspora by standing together in solidarity.
Liberia’s journey from recovery to global leadership is a story of resilience, and this bid represents another milestone in our nation’s progress. Let us stand with Liberia as it seeks to make a meaningful impact on the world stage.
Together, we can make this dream a reality!
Long Live the Republic of Liberia!
