Kigali, Rwanda – March 10, 2025 – In a groundbreaking inter-collaborative meeting, the Liberian communities in Rwanda and Uganda took significant steps toward strengthening ties and fostering economic opportunities for Liberians in the East Africa region.

The high-level gathering, held at LIBCOR's office in Kisementi, Kigali, saw scores of prominent guests from both communities, including a delegation from Uganda led by Chairman Emmanuel Brown who was accompanied by Mr. Ulysses Jarpa, head of the Constitution Reform Committee, and Mr. Jarpha Whisnant, head of the Business Community in Uganda, while LIBCOR was represented by Chairman Emmanuel Patrick and Secretary General Jura G. Mangou.

The discussions centered on mutual growth, with a particular emphasis on an upcoming business summit poised to impact Liberians across East Africa. Participants explored avenues for investment and entrepreneurship that could empower their members beyond national borders.

Impressed by the organizational structure and initiatives of the Liberian Community in Rwanda, the delegation from Uganda made an initial contribution of $300 to LIBCOR’s leadership, pledging continued support whenever needed. This act of goodwill underscored the spirit of unity and collective progress that both communities aim to cultivate.

With this renewed collaboration, Liberians in East Africa can anticipate greater business networking opportunities and stronger community support systems in the near future.
